Terry Ballantine Bisson (1942 – 2024) was an American science fiction and fantasy author. I interviewed him at Readercon 1999 in Boston, focusing on his novel Fire on the Mountain, an alt-history that imagined the impact if the raid on Harper’s Ferry had triggered a slave revolt before the Civil War.
